Steve Chernoski is a teacher, writer, and film director. His first film, New Jersey: the Movie, is an award-winning documentary that has garnered attention from the local media, including the New York Times, the Philadelphia Inquirer and the Star-Ledger of Newark. Steve attended the University of Dayton in Ohio where he wrote a monthly opinion column for the student newspaper, The Flyer News. He taught History and English at a public school at the Jersey Shore and was awarded, "Teacher of the Year" in 2003.

In 2004, Steve earned his Master's Degree from Richard Stockton College of New Jersey and moved to North Jersey, where he currently teaches human rights and character education courses while also advising an after school environmental club. In 2010, he won the Sally S. DeVeer Award for excellence in teaching and released Hockey in the USA – Part I. Check out the Writing Tab to see what Steve's been up to recently.

Steve has settled into Lambertville, NJ where he spends his free time running on the Lambertville/ New Hope canal paths and relaxing with his wife & kids.
